Home Learning
The St Mary's Homework Policy states that:
In Year 3 - All children will receive pieces of writing to practise at home. These will be elements of what they are learning at school.
By year 3, all children need to continue to practise their 2x, 5x and 10x tables and also learn their 3x, 4x and 8x tables.
Our Home Learning purple books will be sent out on Friday and due back the following Thursday. This allows children to complete this over the weekend or over the week to suit all families. The home learning will focus on a key theme within our topics at school that week to further extend children's knowledge and understanding.
Times tables and spellings will also go out every Friday and the children will be tested on these the following Friday.
TTRS is a great resource for children to practise their rapid recall of multiplication facts.
Children should be reading every night and bring their books in daily so class adults can listen to them read as well.
