Maths this week – adding decimals, subtracting decimals and a maths challenge https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/

The BBC Bitesize daily lessons are great and you will recognise some of the clips and activities as we use them in school too - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/zhgppg8/year-5-lessons/1

English – I do hope you are enjoying Harry Potter so far. Are you finding it funnier than you though it would be? Have a go at a writing challenge off our class page when you have listened to a chapter. Have you made anything magical yet?

Keep yourself informed of what’s going on in the world by watching Newsround, I know we always love this in class - https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround

Science – Have you chosen your living thing to investigate its life cycle? Have you planted anything to grow yet?

Have any of you been out after day trying to spot the star link satellites? They look amazing.

PE – it’s really important to do some physical activity every day especially going for a walk. Exercise helps us to keep our bodies and our minds healthy. Have you tried anything new? Don’t forget Go Noodle too.

RE- what did you find out about Saul who became Paul? Could you put his story in to a cartoon strip? If you have a children’s bible at home can you find the parts that Paul wrote?

It has been so lovely hearing from you as you write little notes on your Purple Mash work, I’ll be adding more work on there this week. If you have made or done anything that we can all have a look at please send your pictures to school and they will be added to the school Face Book page.

Send them to ook.faceb@st-marys-deal.kent.sch.uk

Stay safe, keep smiling and keep learning J Mrs Sparkes xxx
