Impact Statement
The impact of our Science curriculum at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School is evident in the curiosity, confidence, and scientific understanding our students develop. Through engaging and carefully planned lessons, our pupils gain a deep knowledge of scientific concepts, as well as the skills to think critically and investigate the world around them.
Students leave our school with a solid foundation in Science, equipped with the vocabulary, processes, and investigative skills necessary to understand and explore scientific ideas. They are able to apply their learning to real-world contexts and demonstrate an awareness of how Science impacts both the present and the future.
Our pupils are not only well-prepared for their future academic studies in Science, but they are also inspired to care for the world and approach scientific challenges with a sense of responsibility. They understand the importance of their role in protecting God’s creation and are motivated to use their scientific knowledge to make a positive impact on the environment and society.
The long-term impact of our curriculum is reflected in the enthusiasm and passion our students develop for Science, as well as their ability to think scientifically, problem-solve, and make informed decisions about the world they live in.
