St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is making a contribution to school improvement and school leadership locally and within the KCSP. Current school support focuses on strengthening leadership and securing best practice in primary education through establishing schools’ teaching and learning expectations.Everyone at St Mary's is a leader whether it be of a subject area, a key stage or for a group of children. We ensure that staff have the support that they need to be the best leaders that they can be. 

 

Our Executive Headteacher works with St Joseph's Aylesham and we too have links with this school within the Trust. 

 

The Executive Headteacher has carried out a number of school reviews within the MAT. The Executive Headteacher is on the Achievement Committee Board of KCSP.

 

St Mary's works closely with our local schools in the Deal Learning Alliance. We share good practice and work closely on curriculum based projects. We moderate work termly and have annual competitions in spelling, grammar, maths and sports. The alliance is very successful and staff are closely involved in curriculum groups.The DLA is split into quads and we work well within our quad carrying out subject deep dives to support the staff with their subject leadership.

 

We are always happy to share ideas, resources and thinking.  We know that “giving away our best ideas” helps ensure we invent new ones.
