We had a fantastic time at the Pantomime.  The children really enjoyed it and behaved wonderfully.

Christmas dinner day was enjoyed by all too!

Our Polar Express day rounded of the year nicely.  We got to wear our pj’s to school and have hot, hot, hot, hot, hot chocolate.

Stickman, Stickman beware of the.............

Class R have written some excellent story paths for the Stickman story.

We were very proud of the children we took to sing at Ami & the Knoll nursing homes.

Week ending Friday 6th December

Our new topic is 'Why do we celebrate?' and we have been thinking about our exciting celebrations as we prepare for Christmas.

We have been preparing for our Nativity performance and thinking about why we celebrate Christmas.

Week ending Friday 29th November

We learned about nocturnal animals through our Owl Babies story and explored what they might eat.  Where did Mummy owl go?  In Maths we have been learning 1 more and 1 less, they are so clever that we have started adding and subtracting bigger numbers too! Well done Class R.

Week ending Friday 22nd November

We went on a Bear Hunt, we went to find a big one, we weren't scared!

The children have enjoyed retelling the story in lots of different ways.  They used instruments to make some of the sounds and went on a Bear Hunt in the woods.

Week ending Friday 15th November

This week we though more about the creatures in the woods and what they might eat or need to survive a cold winter.

The Gruffalo met some of the creatures too!

In Maths we were exploring money, there were some very expensive sweets in their shop!

Week ending Friday 8th November

We kicked off our new topic 'Why do squirrels hide their nuts?'.  We heard the story of the Squirrels that squabbled and thought about when squirrels hide the nuts.  We explored seasons and looked out for signs of autumn when we were in the woods.

In Maths we were learning about patterns.

Week ending Friday 1st November

We have had a great first week back, Class R are raring to go!

We have been writing alliterative sentences with some brilliant animal names.  Some of the ones we were writing were Alice the Alligator, Jasper the Jaguar, Olivia the Ostrich and Freddie the Fox.

In Maths we have been learning about 2D shapes.  The children have impressed me with everything they already knew.

We have been enjoying our new resources too.  There has been a lot of 'fixing' with our new tools and relaxing on the new sofa.

We enjoyed our first visit to Wednesday Woods and the children were very well behaved.
