Star of the Week

24.6.22 Whole class!

Last week we had the most amazing trip - the children were so well behaved and listened carefully to their teachers the whole day. It was soooo hot but the children didn't grumble which enabled us to have the most fantastic day!

17.6.22 Miyah

Miyah has made a fantastic start to her new school! She has shown she is hard working and is a good friend. We are excited to get to know her better.



27.05.22   Nevaeh


For massive progress in her writing - Nevaeh has worked so hard this week and is writing sentences independently that can be read by others. Well done Nevaeh!


20.05.22     Evie


For her boundless energy and enthusiasm in all that she does! She must sleep very well at night!

13.05.22   Thea

Thea has had a really tough couple of weeks but has really shown her beautiful spirit in the way she has dealt with it. She is a wonderful role model in the class.

06.05.22   Joseph


For having a fantastic vocabulary and putting it to good use in our descriptive writing this week!

29.04.22  Hayat

Hayat has made me very proud with her fantastic attitude this week. When she finds things challenging - she perseveres! She worked so hard on throwing and catching this week even though she found it scary!

22.4.22  Theo

Theo has worked so hard on learning phonics and is putting all his knowledge into practice in his reading and now into his writing.

25.3.22  Ellie


Ellie always works hard to get the best from her learning. She is making fantastic progress applying her phonics to her reading! Well done Ellie!

We have been learning about big emotions in RSE and ways that we can deal with them. Ava has shown great self control in this last week and conquered some of her big emotions. She has also shown great empathy to others in her class. Well done Ava!


Star of the Week is awarded for a variety of different reasons.  These may include - showing a positive attitude to work, being resilient and demonstrating kindness to others, to name but a few!


This week the Class 1 Star of the Week is

Naiya    25.2.22


Naiya has come back after half term with a great attitude! She is concentrating hard at carpet time and is giving her best effort when she is doing her work. She is participating well in our group discussions about our new topic Splendid Skies. Well done Naiya - best day ever!

Lauchlin   11.2.22

For great concentration in our maths lessons - he is making sure he listens carefully to new concepts and then working hard independently to apply his knowledge!



This week our star is Bella

For fantastic concentration in phonics sessions - she has learnt all of phase 2 sounds and is using her knowledge to help her in her reading. She has a great attitude and is always keen to learn!

Isla works really hard and could win Star of the Week every week!  This week she was chosen for her amazing writing.  She wrote a fantastic dinosaur story that even earned her not only a Head Teacher award but also a Star Writer award too. Well done Isla!


Arya has amazed us in Science this week, asking fantastic questions and contributing really well in class discussions.  We are very proud of how hard she in trying in Year 1!



For his brilliant effort in his Choosing Challenges this week and for settling well into his new school!
