Parents as Partners
At St Mary's we recognise the importance of parents as partners and as your child's first educator! To develop this partnership we offer support to parents to help them develop their child's learning further at home.
We run a Parent's Phonic Workshop to help build your confidence in supporting your child with their phonics learning and are avaialble on Class DoJo to answer any queries you may have.
We do not set 'homework' in Reception as we recognise that children are learning all the time and celebrate the importance of extra curricular activities to your child's developement. We provide 'Wow Moments' for you to share their successes with us in school.
We do ask that you read with your child every day to help your child develop good literacy skills and promote a love of reading.
