Year 6 - Summer Term Update
📚 English
Writing
This term, our budding authors will explore the art of letter writing, both formal and informal. We’ll then move on to writing autobiographies, diving into personal storytelling and self-reflection.
Grammar lessons will be all about revision—sharpening skills we've built all year. In spelling, we’ll tackle suffixes, “ough” words, doubling letters, and words that use hyphens.
Reading
Comprehension continues to be at the heart of our reading lessons. We’ll be reading When the Sky Falls by Phil Earle, an emotional and powerful story that will challenge and inspire us.
